Without him, M*A*S*H couldn’t be M*A*S*H. He written and directed a lot of great episodes (Goodbye Farewell Amen,Comrades in Arms,…). And his acting was always perfect. Alan commuted from Los Angeles to his home in New Jersey every weekend for 11 years! Loretta Swit once saw him cry, and when she asked him what’s wrong, he said: I miss my children. But I know he really loved M*A*S*H. He will be my favourite actor forever :)
